Celebrate life’s special moments at the 1848 Concord School & Carriage House, a one-of-a-kind historic venue set amid the quiet beauty of rural Western Pennsylvania. Whether you are hosting a birthday celebration, shower, reunion, or intimate gathering, the Carriage House offers a warm and memorable space where history, charm, and meaningful connection come together.
The Carriage House is equipped with heating and cooling, a restroom, and tables and chairs to comfortably accommodate your guests. Space is available for food and refreshments, and hosts may provide their own catering or request assistance in arranging a caterer. The venue also includes Wi-Fi, a large-screen monitor, DVD player, and an audio-visual system, making it well suited for presentations, slideshows, or background music.
In addition to the indoor space (up to 25), the surrounding grounds can accommodate larger groups (~100). Tent rentals are welcome, portable restrooms, and outdoor games and activities may be incorporated into your event. The historic schoolhouse may also be reserved for special ceremonies or meaningful moments, offering a truly unique and memorable setting.
Children are welcome when closely supervised; however, as this is an active museum space, touching or climbing into carriages and artifacts is not permitted. To preserve and protect the collection, all events are reviewed in advance, and we reserve the right to approve reservations to ensure the site and its artifacts are treated with care and respect.
